Sailing the creeks

Looking for Mediterranean marine species in the most wonderful creeks landscape…

We are in the most picturesque harbor of Cassis, entrance to the massif where this beautiful 24 meter lugsail schooner,  the Noctilio comes to pick us up; The annex picks you up with your guide and there we go for a visit of the latest of the French national parks born in 2012.

Cabotage from one creek to another puts you at ease and will allow you to admire this impressive contrast between the transparent blue of the sea and these mountains rising from the water.  Facing this exceptional landscape you will listen to Gilles’ geological, animal, floral explanations and the site traditions makes you aware of its fragility and on the need to protect it.

After anchoring in a creek, and a typical Provence buffet, we will head to the islands and the natural protected area of the Riou islands to watch pelagic birds that albatross and puffins are.

We will then sail away to an area where marine wildlife encounterings are frequent. If you are lucky you will watch for whales or dolphins regularly crusing this area.

After maneuvering the sail, if the wind allows, back to Marseille via the Frioul islands and the Chateau d’If for a disembarkment at the old harbor.
